I submitted a one word .com domain name to Atom be listed as a “Premium” listing. The appraisal by Atom for the domain is mid 7 figures.

After a couple of weeks the domain got approved as a Premium listing, but the pricing on the listing was reduced -91% by Atom without my permission (and a price increase cap set of +10%) repricing the domain to 9 cents on the dollar of the actual valuation.

Naturally, I rejected the Premium listing, but now Atom won’t let me restore the selling price back to the original amount. So it’s delisted now and I’m waiting for a response from @Atom.com .

This is the follow up I received after several attempts. Here's the problem I have. Atom can game/fix the prices on the Premium listings artificially low and then buy out names for 10 cents on the dollar of their appraised value. This is completely unacceptable:

Thank you for the follow up on your concern. The premium review process for submitting Plus or Standard domains goes through multiple rounds of review and can take upwards of 7-10 business days, depending on the number requests we receive. When a domain is approved for premium listing, the price is updated automatically to the approved selling price which could be higher or lower. The status then changes to Pending Commission Approval, awaiting the sellers approval.
The premium pricing that is set is based on the confidence level our marketplace team feels the domain would sell best at in our marketplace. Your current listed price may not be approved, hence a lower price may be given. This is only for premium listings. For Plus and Standard listings, as you have seen, you can price the domain to a price you feel comfortable with listing the domain at.
What seems to be happening and is already being reviewed by our technical team, the listing price was updated even though the status was still set to pending commission approval. Once you rejected the domain, the domain was actually delisted which should have kept your preference of keeping the domain listed as a Plus or Standard listing with your original listing price.
When an approved premium listing is rejected by you, the domain should return back to in this case, as a Plus listing, then you can update the price.
With that said, we're taking steps to ensure this doesn't happen with future submissions.
Thank you,
Scott
