I think I will start for .asia domain name show case where you could put the .asian domain names you have got.

I got

smallbusinesses .asia
mentaldisorder .asia
mentaldisorders .asia (390 searches per day)
bipolardisorder .asia (2660 searches per day)
personalitydisorder .asia ( about 350 searches per day)
personalitydisorders .asia (560 searches per day)
myweblog .asia (for providing free weblogs)
myjournal .asia (for providing free weblogs)

I got a few mental health domain names. I belive asia population is more than half of the world's population and there are millions of mental health patients.

Just got more .asia domains.
=====================

companydirectory .asia (This one is my favorite so far, more than smallbusinesses .asia, about 350 searches per day)
pagan .asia (about 750 searches per day)
HomePlan .asia
orientalrestaurant .asia
onlineroulette .asia (onlineroulette.co.uk sold for xx,xxx very recently)

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Domain / Price / Date / Venue
biotech.asia $11,651 USD 2018-07-18 Sedo
intuitive.asia $5,000 USD 2018-01-10 Sedo
crypto.asia $1,400 USD 2018-01-30 NamesCon
cards.asia $500 USD 2018-01-30 NamesCon

https://namebio.com/?s==ITO5EzNxgTM

Well 2018 is better than 2017 for reported sales so far. BioTech appears to have been purchased by someone in Thailand.

Anyone have a link to .asia registrations growth chart?

I can only find those for ntld.

Chill out people! Its just opinions... Each to their own...

Not everyone is into the same thing, its all speculation really. Lets not be sheeps, its good everyone is trying different things. As with anything (maybe other than .com's and other established extensions) its always a risk... especially with any NEW extension.

The risk is quite big. Around $15 per gamble! So its good to be careful. Be wise. I'll personally only reg 10 domains in total for now. I set my budget and will be sticking to it.

Others have thousands of dollars to spend. Some don't care. Some are staying well clear... its your choice - I always say its worth going with your gut feeling... but just remember your pockets have feelings too ;)

Good luck to everyone.

Come on Lorenzo, I think you need to add PREMIUM GENERIC: ANAPHYLACTOID.asia to your collection of domain names, it might be your first .asia

I can gurantee you, end users will be knocking at your door and begging at your doorstep to buy the name of you

If you buy ANAPHYLACTOID.asia I may consider getting my first .asia also

Man if .asia people are regging names thinking their name will have any percentage value of the .com they are in for rude awakening, a very rude awakening. Other extensions don't work on a percentage bases of the .com, I have GoodWeekend.net for instance that I picked up lying around for reg fee recently, the .com would go for multiple thousands of dollars just even just to another domainer, the .net version is not worth 5cents!!!!

Yeah, exactly.

I think an interesting question about .asia in regards to .com and .net, is how will it compare for Asia related domains. We couldn't register Japan.asia, but how would this domain compare to Japan.com & Japan.net?

What about travelasia.com & travelasia.net compared to travel.asia & travelasia.asia?

Bloody aussies everywhere coming out of the woodwork btw :)

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not about me being a good sport mate. :)

I just figure that this should be a thread to get opinions on the domains, not bagging out .asia in general. When people reg poor domains, I think when we give our 2nd opinions its better (read kinder) to point out the strong ones and give development ideas for the weak ones - or even just ask them why they think it was a good idea to reg - rather than just telling someone their domains are worthless.

The post you linked to is pretty crazy though :D
No I mean't it, you seem to be a good sport. I am a bit of blunt person most of the time. I will be making less jibes regarding .asia hand regs from now on anyhow. Take care

I think

LONGEST.ASIA
NOTED.ASIA

are good.

Longest.asia , if you develop it into World Record website, all things longest e.g tallest man in the world etc...

Guys,

what you think about Inc.asia

do give me your comments,

bad or good, it does not matters :D

Not bad...considering it is 3 chars and quite brandable. Wouldn't really call it a premium generic per se nor highly relevant to Asia but still a decent grab. I actually thought your other ones were better ;)

Thanks James! Rep added..
Yeah, I thought too about developing some of them.. I'll see what the next weeks bring in .asia domains...

What do the others think?

I think sound of asia is a cool hack.. since there are so many different kinds of music arts and instruments comming from asia... but could be wrong of course.

Sales like these are exceptions :)
I doubt .asia names will be easy to flip.

I agree, Kath. Fast, big, flips like this are always exceptions (for the most part, in any extension, including .com) - and, being a 'regional' extension, many domainers won't participate in the .asia aftermarket at all....at least, not until - or, if - it becomes obvious that .asia has financial legs.

Being in Australia - and on the doorstep of what's really happening across the asian region - I kind of like it that the regional .eu was released first, and disappointed many domainers. Many domainers draw a parallel with .asia. They say that the European experience shows that ccTLDs have proven to be more attractive than a regional extension. And, by and large, that was true of .eu

And, they have vacated the .asia space because of it - and, allowed us to take great names, much more cheaply than otherwise would be the case.

Whilst .asia is speculative, at this stage (anything new is), I feel there are a couple of real differences between .eu and .asia....

.eu represents a mature, low-growth, economic region, where there were well established businesses & practices - Effectively, .eu was trying to say: 'Here's an internet identity that overrides your already long-established identity market positioning (.com, and ccTLDs etc)...'...ie it was trying to change what was already working well - and, probably surplus to requirements....So, its sluggish.

.asia, on the other hand, unlike Europe, is an identity being applied to a region made up of fast-developing countries and businesses - that largely have no current long-established identity market position....Businesses in Asia have it all to do - and, their 5-10 year growth plan involves branding themselves - easily - in the western markets, and minds, as well as with each other...

...On top of that, western business is rushing to invest in Asia - and they have an 'asian brand' strategy for their business to get up - quickly - too (their choice is 17 ccTLDs - or one, easily understood '.asia').

So, different dynamics at work for .asia, as opposed to the .eu experience, imo....I feel there is a need for a branding .asia - in a way that there never was for .eu....The difference is about regional development stages - identity branding - and, what's required to meet the need.

Its speculative, of course....And ccTLDs will have an important place, and function, too. Its not 'either, or'...

...But, I feel those that reject .asia as a profitable niche are overlooking a big opportunity.

I was in via.asia auction too, but I wasn't thinking its shortcut for travel.
Its a great name for a travel company.

Mid 50-100+k for potentials, otherwise I would say 10k+

TradePartner >> tons of possibilities with this one. Tap the words in google right now without " " and there's a staggering 258,000,000 results. Why? Because there are literally hundreds of thousands of trade partners out there. This domain screams development - a kind of trade partner portal with advertising fees and front page listings, sponsored links and the rest.

CarpetCleaner >> not bad. Could be worth high $xxx to a motivated end user. The plural sounds commercially better. But good find nonetheless.
