Are the .info domains any good for domain parking?
Will .info parked domains get any visitors?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
.US domains.US domains
depends on a couple of things. If the domain was registered before, there could be some traffic. If you just want to use a .info domain for the type in traffic, with a generic word I do not think it is of much worth. People will always type in the generic word with dotcom or maybe dotnet but not with dotinfo IMO.

I agree. I have had some luck using mini sites / adsense with some info's. I use 1lus.net for this. Instead of relying solely on type ins, after they're indexed, you'll get SE traffic if you have a decent enough name. But as for pure type in's, I get a few, but that's about it

Good luck

here I have another issue , actually I have some info domains with huge traffic but there is no revenue from them...hardly some clicks... forum member harbi posted one availabe 5wu.info and I registered it, on sedo within 3-4 days already 230 hits...

.info names can get good traffic if relevant to the keyword. For example, mesothelioma.info is a very apt domain for information on the disease. Info domains can definitely get good traffic. A domain like traffic.info would be awesome.

Looks like it was earlier used to promote "personal injury lawyer" services. Why not try the same keywords. It might get you a better CTR.

Thanks Varon I wil try with keywords :)

the score is

coxae.info 13 days 405 hits
auaua.info 12 days 124 hits
lotyn.info 8 days 83 hits

etc.

most of my info domains get good hits, while their names are weird ;)

I'm just getting started with www.longisland.info and I have high expectations for the name.... I think .info's are really great for regional places or strickly informative websites...

I just starting parking some infos this month and was suprised to see they do get traffic. Just a few a day, but I didn't expect any at all. One has 4 clicks for 47 cents.

Yesterday, I even sold one that I just put on sedo last week. $110 for something that I reggged at godaddy for only $1.99.

Until now, I was reluctant to pick up any more .infos.

.infos tend to not get much type in traffic so it is better to develop than to simply park them.

Where are people getting this idea they don't get type-in traffic or much traffic at all? Must by your info domains? I can safely say over half of my 500+ info domains get traffic with three-quarters of those making enough to pay renewal fees. Those that don't make back renewal fees get developed and they make great minisites on the search engines. Win-win situation all around with .info.

It's all in the name like any other extension.

BansheeDomains.com has $ 1.99 .info and $ 1.95 private registrations.

I have all of my domains there.

Don't know how the below domains did on parking, but they sure step up to the digital plate when it came time to auction them :)

Sedo Closes Highest .Info Aftermarket Sale

Today, Sedo announced it has closed the highest .INFO sale to date, with Travel.info selling for $116,000 USD. This comes at a time when aftermarket .com sales are reaching record prices and is great news for domain investors. As the secondary domain market begins seeing higher sales values for domains with alternatives to.com, better returns on investment can be expected for all top-level domains (TLDs), including Sponsored TLDs, such as .mobi and even Country Code TLDs such as .co.uk and .us. Other notable .INFO sales include newspaper.info for €13,550, or roughly $18,500, booking.info for $11,500 and names.info for €8,100, or about $10,500.

“As the 6th largest TLD on the Internet today, .INFO has become a natural place to both place and find information about important subjects, like travel,” said Roland LaPlante, vice president and chief marketing officer for Afilias, the registry for .INFO domain names. “The record setting sale of travel.info highlights the value of .INFO as the go-to TLD for information and underscores its increasing prominence in the global domain market.”
