Are ____movie.com worth it?

I just saw in the "recently sold on sedo" some _____movie.com sold for liek $500 or something. I'm no domain trader, but if you could change even the $6/year for registering the domain into a $500 payment, i'd be ecstatic. Even just breaking even I'd be content with, so any profit would be awesome.

Is there any worth scouring the net for future movie releases, determining which would sell well, and registering them? Or are they not in high demand?

I've seen in the movie theaters that they usually have "visit __(movie name)__movie.com" in the trailer, so it migth work.


i also remember seeing a NPer selling thedarknight.com (or something similar - a play on the dark knight) for some ridiculous amount just because of the hype the new batman movie has gotten.

A lot of new movies here in Australia get that kind of domains but I would wonder if you risk TM issues.

I had quite a few: mummy, prince, a few others.

Never got a nibble or traffic.
