This thread is NOT for AR+keywords.com etc.....Solely for .AR extension ONLY.

The start is happening imo, the sale of www.x.AR for $99k ......is the start, a few others previously this year too, yes not high figures but as I said the start is here and now!

I was also considering Regery since most of my .si domains are there, but 14 bucks for NS change (!) naturally turned me off. I guess it reveals what a PITA the .ar registry is to deal with (of course there are other clues as well).

Netim says it outright

Unfortunately the first-year sale ended yesterday:

I like the transfer price. But change of ownership N/A, one of those annoyances that complicates things in case of a domain sale. (↑ another clue)

Netim is pretty painless once you’re there. I’ve bought a few off the aftermarket and it was pretty easy to have it pushed to me at ABC.AR. Later I transferred a couple of them out to Netim and it was easy also. It just goes from one trustee to another.

BUT, I still have one 3 letter .ar domain at ABC.AR and I’m trying to transfer it out to Netim also, due to their email that they’re closing, and I’m not getting a response from ABC.

Anyone else having any issues with them answering?

Netim's trustee service requires me to state "intended use". What do you guys put there so that the registry doesn't consider it cybersquatting?

I've priced my .ar domains pretty low for 2 years (I believe they were at 999 euros on Sedo at some point) and there's been no interest. I'm seriously thinking of dropping them all (listed on the previous page) on this occasion since I don't like all this "difficult" stuff, or mainly the dodgy registry, when domaining is just a hobby for me and I have to watch my blood pressure. Renewals are almost 60 bucks, plus I have to pay VAT at Netim, yeah I think I'm out. Good luck guys.
