recently look at recent sales of Sedo and I noticed the next sale

Approvals.com $ 60,000

Which I'm happy enough because I have the same name in other well-known extension, which for obvious reasons I will not say here. But if you want to discuss this .... if a domain extension. com and sell for that price and I have the same word in another extension, the possibility exists that my domain is valued? :gl:

It all depends on the extension, and how popular it is... for instance if it's the extension of a non-English speaking country with a small market, the value is considerably lower or nil.

In the other thread about .net extensions, somebody posted a large list of recent sales where you can see the price of the .net is generally 11% that of the .com

So if approvals.com sold for $ 60,000 then approvals.net could be around $ 6,000

I think this is the type of word where the value doesn't translate well to other extensions.

Something like "CreditCards" would be worth a good amount in any extensions, "Approvals" not so much.

.COM is .COM. Everything else is everything else. Owning 'Approvals.biz' or 'Approvals.co' a rich man does not you make!

And I think that this .com sale was inflated. You can see for example that the word has only 1,000 Google exact searches.

There is no rule, I doubt the alleged 'general trend' of 11% (didn't people used to say 10%?) for .net vs .com applies to a significant % of domains.
Many domains with massive .com sales won't get sold for very reasonable prices in other extensions, or even reg fee in the weakest extensions.

Domains are only worth what the buyer is willing to pay.

I think your approvals.co is worth $0

I would have to agree with most above. With the word approvals, I don't think it would guarantee any decent sale, in another extension.
