Okay so I have a domain in mind that I want to register..The domain is premium and I would think it would be taken in most extensions. I was looking around and noticed name.com has the domain with an extension available, but the reg. fee is $165...I went to my normal register who offers the same extension but only charges $6.99 to register it. According to the usual place I shop the domain is taken in that extension, but according to name.com the domain is available..Any ideas why this is? If I pay the $165 am I going to get the domain? PLEASE help answer this for me!!

Go to www.domaintools.com or somewhere similar see if the domain is available.

Sometimes WHOIS checks comeback wrong.
