Appraisal Request

Hi All,

I am relatively new to domaining and have tried to do as much research as possible. I have bought a few names and got interest relatively quickly from 2 parties for a domain qualityassurant.com .

I was contacted by a buyer who offered $12,000 USD for this name. After accepting the offer he asked me to get it appraised and send him the certificate however from everything I have read there is not a lot of value in getting Appraisals.

I understand if he wants to make sure it is not trademarked however I don't know if I should get a professional appraisal and if so who is the most reliable.

I appreciate any and all responses!

Sorry, but this is 99.9% a scam. They have no interest in buying your name.

They are only interested in getting you to purchase a paid apprasial.

I had suspected something was up based on the old too good to be true mantra. I will continue to educate myself and hopefully can find some real buyers soon!

any potential buyer or seller, can research a domain to see if it's trademarked



so that has nothing to do with a "need", it's just something they throw in there, to appear like they are being cautious.

The red flag is that he first offered you $12,000 and then asked you to appraise it. I'm glad you didn't fall for this scumbag trick.
