My question is : The "s" of the plural kill the name? is this right in english or not??

Yes the 's' kills it. The term shop is not good either. In english we would say 'Toystore'. Pantstore(shop) or SockStore(shop) don't really exist and nobody will search for those terms exactly. You buy those things at department stores.

I would take ToysShop.com personally if it was cheap enough, although the plural really does detract quite a bit from it's appeal.

I am going to disagree with the point about Shop not being a good keyword. WordShop.com are always quality domains that sell well. Go to NameBio.com and see how many huge sales there have been for WordShop.com domains.

I do agree with the point though that PantStore and SockStore are weird terms that really don't make sense.

Both are solid, but it depends heavily on the word itself.

If you just go by the sales, SHOP has bigger sales at the end than STORE does.
