I need a general idea of what my website is worth. This summer a movie is being released called 'The Illusionist'. I have already been contacted by the producers of this movie regarding purchasing it from me. They obviously are lowballing me right now, however I am unsure what the actual value of a movie website is worth, because they can always add movie or whatever to the url, i.e. theillusionistthemovie.com themovieillusionist.com etc. The movie has some fairly big stars in it (Ed Norton is the lead). Here are some links regarding the movie:

I don't think it is a huge budget film, I believe I read its budget was ~17 million. Needless to say their last offer was 1k and I turned them down last week. They said anymore is out of their budget, and I haven't heard from them since.

Any information that could help would be greatly appreciated. I guess I could always do advertisements on the site to generate money instead of selling.

Thanks!

You have to think about how much traffic, the release of the movie will bring to your site.

I take it you registered the domain before the movie was announced. If the movie is to be released this summer, they would need the name pretty quick, so I would guess if they don't contact you again very soon, the opportunity is lost.
