My site, appchatter.com is for sale. I established this site several years ago and worked hard on it for some time, creating unique reviews and posting news articles. Admittedly, the site has not had any attention now for a long while and my interests have waned on it, so it's time to move it to a new home.
At the time of its inception there were only a few other app review/news sites so it enjoyed a large following. However, the burden of constantly creating new content began to wear and reviews and news slowed. It's main source of revenue was through paid ads, linkshare and through adsense, although paid ads were always significantly higher. I've stopped selling paid ads a while ago as it didn't seem fair to charge for ads on a site that wasn't being updated. Traffic has always been 100% organic. I did very few ads to get traffic and quickly found that that was a losing battle. So content and organic traffic was our focus.
The site is wordpress based with a few plugins and a couple of custom plugins.
At one point I had some professional podcasters creating a podcast for the site once a week.
I'm looking for someone that will take it over as-is. The site needs a few things right away, such as a wordpress update (new theme, too) and moved off of my server to another. I can assist with some aspects of the technical handoff to a point.
I really don't know what the site is worth, so I'm willing to entertain offers. If you're genuinely interested let's start a conversation via PM, if you're looking to steal it for 50 bucks then this isn't for you.
