It has been quite long since my last post.

Anyway, anyone still hosted with vexxhost.com?

My account was suspended recently without any reasons. They insist that I give them my ID,photo and etc, before they're willing to discuss or tell the reasons.
Of course I didn't buy that since who knows what they'll do with my infos.

I think they're out of webspace because of the so called overselling since the webserver wouldn't be able to support more than 50 users if each uses 50GB of webspace (so the 200GB is what I meant overselling).

As far as I can remember, I've been using less than 4GB space on the server (the last time I updated my website was like 4 months ago).
But as for the bandwidth, I believe not more than 50GB/month (I have a radio blog which most of my visitors are listening to).

Just wanted to warn you guys of the possibility of getting kicked out of the server.

If you have recommendations for a good and average price webhosting, do let me know.

Thanks.

If they do not give you any reasons why your account was suspended, and your account isn't working and aren't working with you. It's time to move to a new host.

Normally they ask that kind of information when you first start out with a host...most host do not need your ID etc unless you are asking for services that will give you more access to the server like SSH which is understandable and standard practice.

Not true, what if he was hosting a fraud site (eg: imitation of ebay, stealing peoples passwords). Would you say, "Hey, we suspended your account for a phising site" - he would immediately know to run and get out of there fast. If he does not realize the host knows he's hosting a fraud site, they can request ID/etc and turn it over to the proper authorities.

This is just an example, and I am not trying to bash the OP at all or say this is the reason. This is just an example of why the host would request this information during the hosting period.
