I just logged into PayPal and see they now offer a browser plugin that allows you to use and pay via PayPal ANYWHERE online, even if they don't accept PayPal.. anyone using this yet?

From the site:

The plug-in installs in seconds. Download it for free and:
Use Secure Cards to shop anywhere online
Save and print your receipts
Enter addresses with 1 click during checkout
Avoid fraudulent websites
Check your balance right from your browser

I'm downloading and installing it now!

I'm not sure I follow you. This just adds a PayPal plugin to your browser toolbar that automatically alows you to generate secure cards to make PayPal purchases anywhere. It's an actual PayPal tool from PayPal.

Yes it is :) But still just timid enough to go along with it. I do not doubt it will be having some problems as it is from paypal itself. But scary thing to try anything new with paypal account :D

Hm, I don't see how it could cause you to lose all your money. It's just a time saver and allows you to generate a virtual card to make your online payments. One nice thing is it will generate single use cards. If I'd used a single use card when I purchased a domain, for example, I wouldn't have to worry about being charged again because I forgot to disable Auto Renew. It still requires you to login to PayPal but everything is done from the browser toolbar. Did you watch the demo video?

Can someone else generate those cards from my account :( etc. are the worries.

I know no one else can generate the cards but yet that is what I was thinking. Like I also feared using the special stylesheet for my gmail. As it contained important emails.

They'd still have to know your login details.
