Recently, the PayPal site had technology issues that may have hindered your ability to conduct business using PayPal.

To show our appreciation for your continued business, we're going to credit you for PayPal transaction fees incurred on October 28, 2004, between 12:00:00 AM PDT and 11:59:59 PM PDT.

You don't need to do anything to receive your credit. We'll add up the transaction fees you accumulate, and send a credit to your PayPal account by November 25, 2004.

This is a good idea for PayPal to give back to all the user's who were inconvenienced by the recent outage.

I am guessing they say that just incase something comes up.... though with as many accounts as they have it just might....

All they'd need to do is set it up for automatic credits when someone receives a payment like the automatic credits on eBay for free listing promotions. It'd make more sense for them just to disable the fees on the site during the time period and would make less work for them later.

Is it just me or are payment notification emails still taking many hours to show up? I don't think they have fixed everything just yet.

They are simply crediting us for all transaction fee's today, as an apology for their lack of uptime a couple weeks ago.
