Honestly... this is a case of just being a Domain rookie. Both names simply lack value, primarily because of the grammar and secondly because of the replacement of for with "4". Ideally the name would be BlingForSale.com but even that is not quite the right way to say it.

When we all started as domainers - most of us went through a phase where we registered worthless domain names - Its simply where you start (as you must start somewhere). I recommend reading up on this forum - learning what creates value - and then looking at domain comps to see whats selling!

Welcome to NamePros and good luck!

You might be able to get a refund from GD since they were just registered today. If you can resist the urge to register a bunch of names & read this forum for awhile it will save you money in the long run.

this name will never be registered again after you let it drop not trying to be cruel, as a new domainer read up on overture, or other search results sites, what people search for is what sells if they look for it on the web and you have the domain of what they are looking for you can make some money
good luck in your new hobby

These guys are being kinder than the responses I got on UKBF - UKBusinessForums.co.uk, but as they say, sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind.

I'm very new to this as well, although that does not mean that I havn't been in business for many a good year.

When your looking for names, don't go with hyphens (dashes) in the middle of your words, make sure the spelling is correct, avoid numbers and try to keep them as short and sweet as possible.

Best ones are obviously generic and unforgettable to remember, whilst applying to a huge market segment. Having said that, look at niche markets too.

Think out of the box, but not so much so that you exclude the more obvious names that might still be available.

Too, look at niche markets.

Also look at emerging markets in the business world, internet, sports, politics etc etc.

Hope you find some good tips from reading here, and let us know how you get along.

All the best.

Mark
