Folks,
http://leapfish.com/
is a free domain appraisal tool that i found upon a google search.

Has anyone ever tried them, has an oppinion on their accuracy, reputation, etc.?

It seems to be pretty accurate from what i can tell, however, i gladly stand corrected if you have a different experience.

It seems accurate in some respects, but then in others its completely and utterly inaccurate. Basically, it's a fun little tool to play with, but I wouldn't base your expectations on it's results.

yep, you're right on the money. I played around with it a bit, indeed some domains they are head on,...others they are so far off that i'd love to buy them according to their values. :hehe:

off the map for namepros.com
$91,740.00 for sitepoint
$5,149.00 for gkz.com - my domain (I'd take that)\
$2,394.00 for leapfish.com ( i'll take it for that)

It's useless. I put in a domain - it said no yahoo search results. yet going to yahoo shows well over 500 pages indexed.

Next domain it says 0 for google when google has almost 50 individual pages indexed.

If it can't even get that part right how is the rest going to be accurate?

A domain is worth as much as whatever the other party is willing to pay for the domain.

I thik it's only value is as a tool to point an end user to if you are trying to sell a domain on eBay (esp a 75 cent .info reg :) )

eg. svip.info
