Dear Customer,

As you may be aware, with effect from 31st March 2005, CDAC / NCST is no longer managing and supporting any 3rd level .IN domain names (.co.in / .net.in / .org.in / .gen.in / .firm.in / .ind.in), and all such domain names HAVE TO BE transferred to an accredited .IN registrar.

We have worked out a process to assist you to transition, and effectively manage your domain name, so that there is no interruption in your service.

If you have any 3rd level .IN domain name registered with CDAC / NCST, simply click on the link below to begin transferring your Domain Name to Directi:

I got this too, but was wondering what the heck they were muttering about my domains. I guess it was refering to the 3,000 old .co.in, .gov.in etc. extensions before the opening of the .IN namespace. Directi wants you to transfer to them I guess.

No !! 3rd level .in names have been existing for a long time. But it was very difficult to get one. All legal procedure..a lot of money..etc..etc.

But now as Affilas is maintaining registry - they want to get rid of CDAC / NCST totally.

It doesn't concern anyone who registered names in/after sunrise period.
