First:
Dear SnapNames customer,
We have very recently been made aware of some unusual circumstances
surrounding the auction of this domain name. Since the auction is
scheduled to close in less than an hour, we have decided to extend the
closing time by 24 hours so that we can investigate.
It is possible that this auction will be cancelled altogether; I will be
in touch as soon as a decision is reached.
Sorry for the unusual steps here,
Kjel Holmberg

Second:
Dear SnapNames customer,
As it turns out this auction should never have been started in the first
place. I'm very sorry that our error here has wasted your time.
Again, my apologies,
Kjel Holmberg
SnapNames.com
I was openly critical of Snap when they auctioned unicef.com and then mysteriously pulled it, only to find it under a few different accounts before it ended up (Or so it appears) back where it belongs.
I feel the same trepedation way here.
In a service that is heavily maligned for a lack of transparency, these sort of enigmatic messages do not contribute to any building of trust.
