Hi, everyone

Just curious if there is any value in "word play" domains? It is when you combine words in various ways? Words, like (paw+perfect)= Pawfect Pet is pronounced the same, but is spelled differently, and have different meaning. It is usually done to add more of a a catchy feel to a name. Other names like this: SantasClosets, BeeMyHoney, etc. Does anybody owns them or ever sold one to an end user?

Thanks,

Generally, plays on words are definitely cachy and brandable ... but the potential acquirer will need to build that service/website, and then spend a good deal on its :$: branding, as well (the net effect, leaving ... again, in general terms, not a lot of up-front money for its acquisition), IMHO and in my experience. :gl:
They can be very good registrations for both development and reasonable End user resales, however. :imho:

I'm not sure of value, I have a few "wordplay" names simply because I like them and they could be great brandables along with the 1000 other domains I bought with a development idea in mind but may probably never get to :)

Some of my favorites are:

unfinishe.com
missinformed.com
talkhits.com (great webmaster forum, but rearrange the letters a little).

etc..
