Firstly, I did not want to cause any trouble here, this was just one big mistake that has got way out of proportion.
Why do you think its only you and not the 100s of other transactions on the forum?
I am currently talking to someone who wants to purchase CastIronCollectables.com from me for $100. I meant to take down this thread but just got it wrong. My fault.
I don't care if you're offered $10k, all sales are binding. Or don't post them for sale.
Secondly, there is no binding contract here in these forums this just a forum not a court of law and I'm entitled to do as I wish with my domains. You're all telling me that this is the first time this has ever happened on namepros?
Have you even read the rules of the forum?
NamePros.com - Announcements in Forum : Domains For Sale - Fixed Price
16. Fixed Price / Buy-It-Now - If an item is offered with a fixed sales price, the terms of the offer will assumed valid for seven days following the thread starter's most recent post in the thread, unless specified otherwise by the thread starter.
His sold post was 2 days after you posted the sale thread, surprising that you post and then want to delete sales within two days.
And just as all sold posts are binding on the buyer, they are also binding on the seller.
3. If you post SOLD for any name in any thread, it is considered binding.
ALL TRANSACTIONS ARE BINDING, THAT INCLUDES BIDS AND DOMAINS SOLD. THIS MIGHT NOT BE A COURT OF LAW BUT WE DO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO WHO DOES BUSINESS ON THE FORUM.
Thirdly, anyone who says they would turn down a $100 sale so that they can honour and old thread for $5 is a liar. I am trying to get maximum profit from my domain and I don't see why there is a problem with that.
No, they're not liars, just ethical. I'm sure stub and me have followed through on sales on umpteen occasions even with higher offers pending, its just the right thing to do.
Profit from your domains, sure, but back out of a deal and you're in deep trouble.
Lastly, what is the problem? Nobody has lost any money, nobody has lost any of their domains, and if everyone wasn't kicking up such a fuss, nobody would have wasted any time either!
You're wrong, you're cheating "buzzed media" out of the profit you're now trying to make with
his domain.
I'm going to close this thread now and will be taking it up in private with buyer and seller.
