Any legal issue?

I've got a question!
- The Indian company owns ***.co.in.
- Also ***.in is available to hand reg.
- *** consists of two words and they are common

Are there any legal issues? Would the owner of co.in purchase .in?

Ummm, not really enough here to go by. First, read my sig and follow the instructions, that is a great start.

Now, is *** the name of their company, or a product, or service? The two words, do they have a secondary meaning? (hint, just becuase you feel they are common doesn't mean didlly; Windows, Apple, Delta are all common but are trademarks dependant on certain usage). How is the domain being used? How do you plan on using the domain? Is it fair use for for commercial gain?

Your question is similar to me asking "How does a car work?"

Frankly, if its an Indian company, then you can stop worrying about TMs. Indian copyright/TM laws are very very obscure.
