Any dedicated admin 101 type manuals?

I've been running a small web hosting company for a bit now. I'm looking to get my first dedicated server soon and am a little curious if anyone can point me in the direction of any sort of dedicated server managment 101 type of thing? A manual or ebook of some sort that goes over managing your dedicated web hosting box and keeping it secure and up to date. I'm not a linux pro but I'm not a newb either. Any sort of beginners guide would be excellent!

If you think you are not good in administration, I think it will be better to look for a managed solution, may be atleast for some time so that you will get time to feel comfortable.
Root user come with lot of powers and need to be careful while playing as root.

Thanks for the suggesstions guys! Very useful information. iHubNet, is it true that many managed dedicated boxes aren't really "managed?" I thought all that meant is the company will basically keep firewall/antivirus up to date and do kernel work. Are there any places you can recommend that offer for managment on a dedicated box? It is true, especially when you go with a big company. I don't mean all big companies are like that. But there are companies which do provide real managed servers. I would suggest you to do a good research in the forums and read reviews about the hosts before you make decisions. As I said, try to look for quality hosts which are not that big.
