I have not used GoDaddy (for hosting) but have Namecheap shared professional plan, and I have nothing but good things to say. It was set up essentially instantly, their control panel is as good as any to manage, the response seemed good for use, no problems at all. I recently moved from them to Eco but will probably move back to them in a year or so. Also, Namecheap played no tricks when it came renewal time - I set it to not autorenew, and although they sent reminders, no other 'tactics'. I just used their customer support I think once (for hosting) but it was fast and helpful.

I am also using shared namecheap hosting. Till now its very good. Customer support is really excellent, even they set an SSL certificate for my website.
