Hi guys, it is my first year domaining and for my initial domain portfolio I used AI to generate me some winning ideas.

As most noobs nowadays do :)

So I did not thought very deep, AI said domains are good, I registered them and moved to the next step - learning.

Obviously - I learned that most of the domain names are amazingly bad. Some good though.

So lesson learned, but I have a question about one particular domain that I have registered - Ai- Safety -Fund (com).

I did not had any idea that there are some major initiatives in that direction by several-trillion-worth companies.

And yesterday I got the idea that maybe this is the perfect UDRP case waiting to happen?

I got very worried, and I wonder should I donate it to the (.org) organization? Or should I keep it since it consists of 3 words that are not a trademark in the literal sense but still as I am reading in this threads it can be actually be considered cybersquatting?

I do not know what to do, as my business capital is not very large, but if it is a no-go I do not mind donating that domain.

I understand that my initial lack of knowledge does not help in any way if the law is broken.

Any advice would be helpful.

If it is purely a combination of generic terms (AI + Safety + Fund) and not matching an active registered trademark exactly, then simply owning the domain does not automatically equal cybersquatting. UDRP risk usually increases when the term is clearly tied to a specific brand or if there is bad faith intent (targeted outreach, ransom-style pricing, logo imitation) or if the domain is used in a misleading or competitive way. If it’s just parked and you have not contacted any specific organization then that is very different from actively targeting someone. Before worrying too much, you can check trademark databases yourself with below:

USPTO (United States): https://tmsearch.uspto.gov
EUIPO (Europe): https://euipo.europa.eu
WIPO Global Brand Database: https://www3.wipo.int/branddb

Search for exact matches of “AI Safety Fund” & also similar phrases. If there is no registered trademark and it is a descriptive phrase then the risk is generally lower & to be honest I am not a lawyer and i am just speaking from general domain practice. If you still feel uncomfortable holding it then simply letting it expire at renewal is the lowest-risk option. No need to donate it unless you genuinely want to.

Thank you for spending from your time to reply with so many details! I have checked and was not able to locate a trademark infringement, so I will keep it.

Appreciate you!
