ANOTHER ccTLD launch ! .CR!

Spaceship Spaceship

.CR is officially live! :talk: :talk:

Costa RICA - $100 a year for 2nd level.

www.nic.cr

Everything in Spanish though :( . Me and Kev managed to snag a few good ones, apparently their whois isn't real time updated, but the "availability search" is.

Post your Regges! Costa Rica is actually QUITE developed.

Actually they are opening the second level like Peru last year ;)
I took one but I'm waiting for the registration to complete.

I noticed a few L.cr seem to be reserved ;)

There is just a little difference in value:

Costarica population is not as much as the Peru one.

Plus $100 fee is just a rip off.

They are reserved because we applied for them - they are definitely able to be registered. I think at this moment people at Nic.cr will be deciding who to give the other ones too since me and Sam seemed to apply for them at the exact same time.

i sold a.gd for $3000 over a year ago so these names are incredibly valuable

Update: Got confirmation for

g.cr
h.cr
m.cr
n.cr
t.cr
w.cr

Im a happy man :)

Was not better to buy my N.pe for $1,000 since it costs $30 per year only?

I hear you Lorenzo.
$100 is not cheap, on the other hand the US peso, I mean dollar is at an all-time low (when you get paid in euros) ;) But I'm not going to register a lot of these.

Both .pe & .cr should be treated as emerging extensions, therefore long-term holds.

I mean, I checked a few days ago

Consider yourself lucky then.
Isn't w one of the letters least used in Spanish ?

I don`t think Spanish has the W, Italian does not.

Peru has already 7+ million users and 28+ millions people.

Costa Rica has about 1 million users and 4 millions people.

Costa Rica should cost less, much less, that`s clearly a money machine for them.

Cctlds are my speciality so Im very confident about these names.

Ive managed to flip Cctlds with $1000 reg fees before and I have a lot of good contacts. Whether I will sell these is another matter but Im really pleased with my investment :)

Just got handed the royal screwjob by the incompetent registry. THEY REJECTED ALL MY APPLICATIONS since I thought titular de domino means Domain Name, so I put the name instead of my "name". I am emailing support to fix error.

This is bullshit, my poker.cr got stolen by a Costa Rican, the fight with kev for the single letters were iffy, i felt i got the upper hand but who knows.

I AM PISSED OFF. I was in class checking email for activation, upon learning it was de-activated, I stormed out to the nearest computer lab.

1.cr
casino.cr
f.cr
sanjose.cr
p.cr
j.cr
y.cr
q.cr
oc.cr

is all that I managed to salvage. QUITE PISSED OFF. I am going to send the angriest letter yet to the cctld crap registry. This is almost as bad when the .vu registry deleted some of my names due to "not recieving payment".

m.cr is a great name, actually, excellent! My chemical romance fan site, or even sell it to the band. You've got one mighty good domain there.

Don`t do it. It`s your faulth that you don`t know their language. Would you like some spanish guy telling you`re stupid in your COuntry because you don`t know his language?

Stolen wow that's a strong word. It's not their fault if you can't read Spanish forms :|
I'm curious if they will allow sanjose.cr ;)

congrats...

you did GOOD...

I can see - potentially - the .cr being used by some
Certified Residential Realtors
or
Commercial Realtors

they already abbreviate a designation they EARN as CRS behind their names...

best of luck to you in your ventures...

That alone shows how much more are interested in the money rather then in their ccTLd development.

When I see high fees, I just close the page.

Nothing justify $100 annual fee in that country where locals barely earn a living.
