Analytics for type in parked domains?

Many people have said that if you are getting alot of visitors on a parked name, to take it out of parking and host it to add analytics to it, so you can see what keywords people are searching for. But Ive also read that if i just regged this name for the first time, then its all type in traffic. If it is people searching for keywords and not type in traffic, then once you take it out of parking, how can set the same scenario as how it was in parking (in regards to the keywords that were set for the name while it was in parking). I mean once you take it out of parking you no longer have those keywords right? If type in traffic is useless for analyzing because they arent searching for keywords, and if once you take a domain out of parking, you dont have the same settings while at the parking company, then it seems like analytics is useless. Anybody have any input?

If using Namedrive/Sedo, host the domain yourself with a redirect index.html to the sedo/nd page... or basically a parking provider who does SOMETHING.TLD/yourdomain.tld

Also, add analytics to the index.html page to collect stats.
