An interesting approach.

Though I doubt it works very well!

Received this:

"I need the zxcvbnm.com domain for my business. I'd appreciate if you give it up. It's not fair for someone to just park a domain, when someone else can use it for business reasons. I would appreciate your fairness on this..."

Next email:

"I would really appreciate if you could give it to me. I have a family to feed. I can't afford to pay more than $50..."

How much do you want man? What's the least you would expect realistically?

4)

That's too much. Thanks. I will just change the name.

So if sex.com was just parked, it wouldn't be fair to everyone who wants it? The owner should just give it away? lol Really, that's terribly sad. It's the axiom of endusers.

I like this lil dude, I think of him as a future success, rather than a present day failure.

You might want to unlink the '.com'

Dear sir:

I would like a list of all your assets. If I find any that I like, I'd appreciate it if you just give it to me.

Turn it around with:

"I would really appreciate it if you could pay me more. I have a family to feed. I can't afford to sell this domain for less than $5000."

Their hardship matters. That's why you should give it to them - so they can make money and feed their families.

You wanting to make money to feed your family by selling your domain only makes you a selfish, greedy SOB.

Same. I did give a domain away once, as it was a charity type domain. But that's it.

Received a similar request a couple days ago... He owned a similar version of my domain but wanted to know the minimum price I would sell it for. He couldn't afford much but based on my price he would respond yes or no. I asked him his budget and he didn't have one because he didn't want to feel taken advantage of. It was a charitable organization and he would prefer for me to just give him the domain but realized I would want something for it. I told him hey you already have a domain and since your budget is basically reg fee the .Net & .Co are available if you want those. Good luck.

"I sold one of the little ones. Good home. I can now raise my offer to $85."

Someone wanted a domain name and didn't want to spend a lot of money on it. I don't understand what the source of amusement is. Either the guy was another domainer trying to get a name on the cheap (something I'm sure no one here as tried) or he was someone who genuinely didn't have the cash.

So what is the joke: That he's a domainer? Or that he's not got money?

Because he's an obvious douche. Come on, the pathetic sympathy ploy is pure schoolgirl drama.
