Americans Still Struggling To Survive

Lest we forget: there are plenty of Americans still struggling to survive the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina... it's only old news to those who weren't directly involved. Many are still coping on a daily basis.

Thanks for the reminder. It's good to let people know about Katrina and how it's still not resolved by any means. We had two hurricanes here (three if you count Wilma) and the town is just now back to looking like it did before. Several buildings though are still without roofs or had to be torn down, so I can imagine what Katrina's victims must still be going through.

We have to worry about tornados here.. some towns in the area are still recovering from tornadoes that destroyed a good portion of their communities in recent years..

I just get steamed when I think of all the tax dollars going overseas when they are needed here first.
