Interesting storm has been whipped up on Twitter about Amazon's apparent policy of deleting sales rankings from LGBT literature as a way of removing so-called overt 'adult' literature from searches, rankings, bestseller listings etc.
It seems, however, that in doing so, classics such as Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit, Maurice, The Well of Loneliness, Brokeback Mountain etc have all had sales rankings removed, whereas Super Beauties: Nude and Natural, and Playboy: The Complete Centrefolds keep their sales ranking intact. So much for the 'removing adult content' argument!
As a result, Amazon is being accused of blatant censorship and marginalising LGBT literature. Anyone interested in following this, search #amazonfail on Twitter (2nd trending topic after 'Happy Easter'!) or http://no_url_shorteners/5CNxw

UPDATE: #amazonfail is currently the top trending topic on Twitter - looks like we could be witnessing the power of social media in action!
