.tv Am I insulting...

Hey guys and girls,

I bought a name here for $50 like many other names and I know i does have some value and never tried to sell bellow the price I bought it.

A week ago, got and offer on sedo for $1.5k, I ain't take it since I believe it should worth more than $2k.


Coincidentally, a member who sold the name, pm and asked will i sell it back to him and I asked for $2k.

He got mad and say's I'm insulting him....... and put me in ignore list.

I just wondering am I insulting him for asking the price I believe the right price at this particular time ?

Just say some word, this is troubling me.

It certainly is not insulting, you bought the name and you own the name. Everyone has both buyers or sellers regret. You could have put in the email I just turned down $1500 so what were you thinking ? It would have taken away the insulting remark, but you did nothing wrong. Again IMO

It couldnt happen to a nicer person. I've seen you offload a boat load of names recently i'm glad the boat came in on this one. While offloading these i'm sure you took a hit on some of the names ...but I hazard a guess that you did not try to return those names to their orignal owners at the price you paid for them! You've taken your lumps ( took it on the chin) You dont deserve to be insulted my friend.

Buying and reselling is part of the game, no need to be mad. I recently offered tv domain for sale here (thread is still active) for low $xxx but no takers, and couple of days ago I got sedo offer (and accept) in low $xxxx range. It happens. Congrats on your offer and good luck with sale.

it seems the offer via sedo established a base price , so with that in mind they would have to equal then go beyond if you did not accept the sedo offer

I have sold many names here at domainer to domainer prices and actually been delighted if I hear that the buyer has ended up getting a much bigger sale down the line.

That's all part of the game.

Its your domain now. Its your choice how much you value that domain at present and how much you want to let it go for. Maybe the original buyer got angry in the spur of the moment and might have realised later that this is what most would have done under such a circumstance. Theres nothing insulting about it at all in my opinion.

Of course it's not insulting! It's your name, you can ask however much you want for it. It's their loss for selling the name & regretting the sale.

Unless your style of writing was insulting (your price certainly isn't) then you're in the right as everyone else said.

I think now you should increase the price even more to something like $3,000.

I don't know the domain but obviously it was sold to you by somebody who couldn't foresee the real value of the domain. Now he has probably seen some similar domains sell for much higher and he regrets letting it go for cheap.

.TV has future. It is a perfect long term investment. When you think about 10 years later, you will probably spend $200 to renew the domain for 10 years but at the end that domains value will multiply.

If it received an offer of 1500 USD I would think its value in 10 years will be $4500.

This does not make any sense.

You were only $500 apart? In that range, I do not understand why there was no counter offer on your part. If you want an answer to your initial question it would help to have all the facts.

I'm not buying the story as presented. IMO.

50 to 1500 is nice pop even if you think its worth more.

Your "buddy" expects you to be the type of domainer that sees a nickel profit and sells. You should have kindly said you turned down 1500 so he will have to go higher.

You actually make valid points - nothing to do with .TV, somewhat weird subject, maybe rubbing it in. That said, if you didn't spend so much time coming in here and acting like a .tv subforum tag you'd get more respect.

How does it have nothing to do with .tv ? It was a .tv name. Speedaccu has purchased 3 names here for $50, the only one with an offer on SEDO is DANK.tv.
