I received this email few days ago :

    from : lawyer milton-law-attorney info

    Hello!

I represent a domain buyer who is going to acquire "4queenz" for his brand new web site.

The buyer offers a price in $10,000 - $15,000 range (the exact figure will be based on your certified appraisal).

    Is it your first sale?

I help VIP clients of a local hosting company to buy names on the domain market.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Sinerely yours,

    Maria Halpern

haha, yeah ive had these before. They ask you to get a professional appraisal through a service they recommend, which of course they own.

Stewmath - I´m pretty sure, "they" are some of us domainers that are here on namepros unfortunately.
There is dishonesty in every kind of business. :/

Have some fun send them an email back saying,

    Maria Halpern,

Thank you so much getting back, I will look forward on doing business with you soon.

Please check out my appraisal which I got done last year, they are saying about $8,888. But you are the expert so feel free to have a look.

Sorry mate, I'm sure this is the first time you received one of these emails.... I can imagine how excited you must have been at the possibility of cashing in ..... well done for being cautious and not being hasty...the fact that this con is still running means that it must still be working..so chances are many people are still falling for it.
