Need help to get an appraisal of ALOO.com

Back i 1999 i wanted to register allo.com but it was already captured.
Allo was more normal word so I played with the words and came up with ALOO, which I thought could be a good word for branding later, and registered ALOO.com
I have had it for more than 10 years.

What you say the value of aloo.com domain alone?
and what is it value together with all the 16. other extensions?

What good could i develop from this domain?
social network?
is it a good name for a mobile company?

We also have
aloo.net
aloo.us
aloo.info
aloo.name
aloo.no
aloo.se
aloo.dk
aloo.eu
aloo.asia
aloo.mobi
aloo.vn
aloo.ru
aloo.co.in
aloo.im
aloo.me

Thanks in advance for all replies.

It's just a feeling, but this name could have been more valuable back in 2000, when you received that nice offer. 2000 was still the startup era, there were so many websites ending in '-oo' like wanadoo etc. Not sure if such names are still that popular.

Right now low $$$$ seems achievable. The problem with brandables, you need the right end user, that falls in love with the domain and is willing to spend on advertising the brand.
As DubDubDubDot says, this one does not pass the radio test. As for the 'loo' stigma, it's not a problem in languages other than English :)

I think you missed your luck, you might not receive mid-$$,$$$ offers ever again, or not before a long time.

Since you already own the name in several extensions, my suggestion would be to keep the domain and be the end user. Find a great business idea, TM the domain and make it profitable.

Thanks DubDubDubDot and Sdsinc for long and good reply.

Back in 2000, I just as a lot of people thought there was no limit. A new company with a businessplan was priced ten of millions. It's easy too get blind.
And yes If it was today I would have accepted the offer if I had no businessplans for the domain.

I didn't know much about domains back then.
But yes the bid was from an end user. Not sure who they actually represented, but some times later there was a Mobile operator named Hello, and something else also Aloo Calling cards. A lot of other operator with other bad names too.
I had the local country TLD ALOO.no, ALOO.dk and ALOO.com.

When I wrote almost mid $ xx.xxx I calculated it because the offer was in local currency.
The USD rate back then I remeber was 1 USD = 9 NOK. Today 1 NOK = 5,80 NOK.

When I registered i wanted Alo, Allo, Hallo, Hello, Hi, but they were of course taken alreday.
When I registered I had plans for a search and an directory site. Which I think the name was ok for.

I have never thought that ALOO also could be "a loo"/ "Loo" = toilet before DubDubDubDot mentioned. :)

ALOO!

Try to target Indian end users.
I am sure you will get 5 Figures if you convince them that it could be used as a brand.

Reliance
TATA
Zapak

The list is endless.
