This is an auction with BIN added. You cannot PM. It has to be on the thread.

It can be in pm or here, we already have a deal.

Auction bids have to be in the thread. This wasnt a bid

You are wrong, no deal can be completed in PM during an auction. read the rules. I was auctioning a name in the past and had similar issue. I will have to call in the moderator to sort out this mess. Thanks.

Dunno, but we had a deal in PM is all I know. And these are the rules I found:

6.2.7. Bids must be made publicly in the thread, but offers relating to active auctions should be sent via private message.

iii. Example: Current high bid for a domain at auction is $50. A $300 offer is made to the seller for the same domain via private message. The seller states, "Too low. How about $400?" The buyer agrees. Then, the seller sets a BIN of $400 in the auction thread and the buyer places a $400 bid, which they already agreed to in PM

If mod says you won it, cool cool, but I think all three of us know the domain was intended for me (all four of us if you count the mod who can see my PM offer and seller agreement).

Hi Nemo,

No hard feelings. I too was in the same situation as yourself. The thing is if you have reached an agreement in PM, you seller has to put up that on the thread and you have to accept it.

The thing is ALL THE BIDDERS MUST BE INFORMED AND SHOULD HAVE EQUAL OPPORTUNITY TO BID OR ACCEPT BIN.

Well, it's pretty obvious who the BIN was intended for; it is obvious to me, it is obvious to the seller who I had a deal with, and it will be obvious to the mod as well I'm sure. But if you want to try to get a domain on a technicality where the rule is not that clear well, that's your reputation and it's no sweat off my back.

And if one wants to get ticky-tack about the rules....

6.2.4. A Buy-It-Now ("BIN") price may be changed (added, reduced, increased, or removed) on an auction at any time prior to it being accepted. However, the change must be posted to the thread as a new reply as well as updated in the original post before it can be accepted.

....for whatever it's worth, the seller never posted the BIN as a 'new reply' to the thread. But regardless we still had a PM deal.

DHDE.com sold at BIN. Please PM details.

For clarity :) ALL bids including bins must be placed in the thread . The above bid is valid as the winning bid;. Conversations can be had in pm but only bids in the threads count.

Many thanks

What a crock. And what about the very clear rule that says the seller must post a New Reply to the thread when adding a BIN? Seller never added a reply to the thread so that should invalidate all the BIN's until he does add the Reply to the thread.

Either that, or even the mods do not 'really' follow the rules here.

6.2.4. A Buy-It-Now ("BIN") price may be changed (added, reduced, increased, or removed) on an auction at any time prior to it being accepted. However, the change must be posted to the thread as a new reply as well as updated in the original post before it can be accepted.

Therefore according to this rule, no BIN can be accepted by either myself or by vickyhunter or by anyone else, until the seller updates the thread with a NEW REPLY stating the newly added BINs.

Do all rules matter or is this forum just pick and choose

On reviewing this thread the above was not followed by the seller and must be posted.
