I'm convinced the pullback is only temporary. Even seemingly random letters in 4L .com may have meaning, making it practical for end users to acquire them. However, the chance of end user acquiring longer .com such as random 5L or more may be slim. The longer domains may sell if someone comes up with a new investment (=speculation) theme for trading among spculators.
Some LLNN and even LNNL are still practical enough to be used by end users. Some well known examples are WD40.com and A16Z.com. I have a small collection myself.
Another nice acronym is for Pinyin Qi Pao (ๆ่ข = Chinese-style dress). I picked up a small number of easy-to-remember LLNN in 2016 from the garbage dump because I believed the ripple effect. However, I think speculation plays an important role in high prices. Adoption by corporate China will take some time. LL is important though, because it's an acronym for 2-pin, which is the mainstream in China.
I prefer CP56 because it can be used for a company's name in the logistics industry (56 rhymes with ็ฉๆต logistics).
