Does AI impacts domain in the next years like search engines completely shifting to AI. Is this will lead to domains to be eliminated or not. Will there is any new domain types to deal with AI or will completely replace the entire website and domains.

As per my opinion No, AI won’t eliminate domains or websites it will just change how people reach them. Search engines and assistants may deliver answers directly, but they still rely on domains as the trust and ownership layer for content, APIs, and transactions. What will matter more is strong, credible, brandable names that AI recognizes as reliable sources. Extensions like .ai may grow in popularity, but domains as a whole will remain essential to the internet rather than being replaced.

there's a ton of stuff that will and have given an alternative to domain names but there's nothing that will ever ever replace domain names, the de facto internet address. it is my source for where i go to establish a trustworthy connection between the giver and the given.

Domains already lost weight, that is why better focus on quality not quantity.
Maybe AI will replace and integrate everything in it, but later it will happen like with FB, Skype and other platforms, at some point people will realize that any AI is the biggest data grabber, when this will happen all of them will run like cockroaches and decide to move on their own website, maybe even by integrating their own AI system and control their own data.
