advice Afternic - GoDaddy integration is getting worse

I usually list my domains with BIN on Afternic, since this is (supposedly) placing them automatically on GoDaddy Premium BIN listings and "make offer" at the same time.

Nowadays I see that half of my domains - the newer ones and those old ones where I have changed the price -are not listed on GoDaddy, and their Afternic info says: "Fast transfer: No. Opt in Required". The letters to opt in never arrive during the last weeks, and also domains stay "in review" for a very long time...

Do you observe the same thing? Is there something that can be done?

I'm not receiving any emails of Opt in, my 7 domains are still pending review, even I emailed them two times to review and list them but no success.

Same happening with listing showing in GoDaddy results.

Indeed, I had observed earlier that the status "opt in required" does not always stop the domain from showing in GD searches. But nowadays I see that many such domains no longer show in searches.

My experience is that this happens when the domain isn't in a transferable state. What's typically happened for me is that once the domain does become transferable ( ie after 60 days ), I automatically receive an email requesting my authorization to list them as Aftrnic premiums. Until that happens, I always list domains I have with GD as GD premium listings so that they still show up on GD's registration path during the first 60 days that I own them.

Afternic used to be different, and accept the domains immidiately. I remember good days a few months ago, when only 48-72 hours were sufficient to finish the listing.

You should still be able to get a standard Afternic listing in that amount of time. It's the premium listings that take longer. The difference is that premium listings are instant purchases. Once the buyer pays, the domain is automatically transferred into his account regardless of which registrar in the sales network the purchase was made from. This can only be done if the domain is in a transferable state.

With standard afternic listings ( these show up in gd auctions instead of the GD registration path ), you have to manually push or transfer the domain yourself and go through the standard escrow process. If you're experiencing delays with standard listings, just write tech support about it and they can often resolve the problem for you.

What discobull says..
you will still get the emails once the 60 days from registration have passed and the domain is generally transferable (also for fast transfer), this is nothing new and i do have this "issue" for a while already when trying to list with Afternic premium

But why do domain ask to "opt in" again after a price change?

I too have had a lot of issues (or more than before) with Afternic since the GD integration. All sorts of little headaches. I could manage those but what really started to bug me is that a good junk of domains were not resolving when I decided to take a look. So nowadays I park most of my domains elsewhere. Btw, if you guys didn't know this, you can participate in Afternic Premium even if you're not parking with them as long as your domains are w/ GD.

But why do domain ask to "opt in" again after a price chance?

I'm starting to think that one reason for all these little hickups and oddities is simply the complexity of the system. There are a lof moving parts and thus the software isn't perfect. But yeah, I agree, it's noticeably getting worse, like week by week.

If you will pm me a couple domain examples I can have some people on Afternic dig into it and find out what is going on. Thanks. I don't want any one having names stuck for no reason, we want to get your domains sold. :)

Thanks to @Nerevar for bringing this up. There is something broken on our side and I see the developers have a ticket on it and it is marked as very important to resolve quickly.

Great, thank you. Will wait for the developers to fix these issues.

Afternic No thanks, Done with them. I signup my account with them 2 or 3 years ago and last time I used in November or December 2014. I listed few domains over there. 10 days ago, I don't know why but I logged into the afternic account and on 2 of my domains status were showing pending sale. both domains are 4L and I listed those domains back in 2014. I send them an email that I don't want to sell these domains and I already transfer these domains to another registrar ( before these domains were on network solutions and now on godaddy.com ). they sent me an email after 36 hours that you signed the agreement when your domain get sold you will transfer them.I sent them an email that both domains are already sold and I sold them to a friend and domains are still in my account. which he will get any time. No one replied me. 5 days ago I received an email from afternic escrow that payment has been verified. confirm the sale or if you don't own these domains call us immediately. I call them and the representative told me we have noted your request and our escrow team will contact you, but they are still sending me messages every after 2 3 days.i don't know what to do.

But you did not unlist the domains? That might be the problem.

By the way, from my experience, integration of Afternic with GoDaddy got nearly perfect now that they fixed some issues. I am very satisfied with the platform. However, I myself have a domain that is pending sale there, and I discovered it accidently. I think they should start to send email notifications as soon as the domain is sold (and before the sale is finalized), so that we do not accept offers from elsewhere. Fortunately, I did not sell the same domain on other platforms at the same time, otherwise I would have to choose where to get banned.

I had the same question and Afternic replied that any price change to a domain that was already Opted-in to Fast Transfer Premium, got that domain kicked back into "review". It didn't matter if that price change was up or down. I upped a few of mine and it took about another week for the changes to take effect and for the Opt-in status to revert back to OK.
