Well my afternic account is due for another $19.95 yearly fee, almost feels like the costco experience, anyone have any coupons for the yearly fee renewal, or think it is worth renewing?

Its worth renewing. If you have to worry about $20 then you are in the wrong business IMO.

From my personal view, i really don't find any meaning on spending $20.00/year for renewal.

i was using their service last year, but found that not received any bid and even tried their 15% fee premium service. in case you having good domain or buyer need your domain, you will get an offer.

So i will suggest you to use any free service like sedo etc.

If customer service is important to you, don't go near Afternic. Run, don't walk.

Totally agree.

$20 is just not an issue.

It just takes one small sale every few years for it to pay for itself. Unless $20 will break the bank I don't see any reason not to renew.

Afternic has been worth it for me. Ive done several thousand dollars worth of business on their site, and receive offers from time to time. (I do better with Afternic then Sedo)

I've personally had more success with Afternic. After about a year, I've finally started to get back into things and add domains back to my Sedo portfolio. I did renew my Afternic membership one more time to see how it does. The few interactions with customer service I have had could be rated as roughly average.

However, I am having trouble removing domains from my portfolio there. Sometimes they close, many times they do not. Support was pretty much a copy and paste answer when I asked them about it.

I had the same trouble, could not for the life of me remove names from my portfolio.

This is how they make their millions folks! By saying its only $20 to join and if you cant afford that cost or that its a site YOU MUST be a part it just in case someone makes offer on your domains is a fair statement so you dont miss out .

However add up the millions of domaiers accts that have NEVER sold squat on afternic and look at what this company is making simply from all the memberships from domainers with zero sales.

IMHO if you dont make one sale in the 1 year afternic should reimburse the $20.
If their site does not peform so you at least get your $20 back from 1 sale and then some , they should offer some form of reimbursement since the high % of members dont seem to sell squat on Afternic from what I can determine from info I have found in the last year+ .

If they own the majority of domains that sell on their sites that means they are your competitor and they want you to pay $20/ yr to join the cometiitor. Nice little set up you got going there Afternic!

How about you throw the domainers that made you millions of $ something ? A bone maybe? lol!
