@AbdulBasit.com m facing some challenges over afternic account
I've no idea about this so can't say comment.
You may contact Afternic support unless you think there is something I can do for you...
I have read here at name pros where some domain seller in angary remove their domain name from afternic to other marketplace because of dissatisfaction....
I will give you a simple scenario... In some couple of months, I decided to try afternic...
I add 5 domain name on afternic an opt in for fast transfer network....after couple of weeks...I went to afternic home page ad type my domain keyword on the search box on their home page....unfortunately I could not seen my domain name from the search result of about 20 selected domain that came up.
Why my domain could not show????.
Hi, can you email me the issues you are having with as much detail as possible? [email protected]
Hi, pls email me with your account name and the domains that aren't showing up. [email protected]
All, as awesome a seller as Abdul is, he is not support for Afternic. [email protected] is always available
Congratulation on your incredible sales @AbdulBasit.com , your result would inspire other members to always persistent and patience. You have many awesame name , one day another buyers will come again to purchase your name.
@AbdulBasit.com has indicated elsewhere (don't remember exact numbers, he can correct) that he spent around $250 per name and has around 4000 names now. He also indicated that he sells 200-300K worth a year, could be heading towards $400k/year.
So around $1MM in the asset cost and if he makes $400K/year, that is 40% IRR.
Wow! You're very good at remembering
Since I've acquired some expensive domains this year so my average has shot up in the range of $350. This average price is for the last 30 months period during which I've doubled my portfolio.
Hopeful to reach 4,000 mark by the end of next week.
I made 250K+ in sales last year.
With the sale of AutoFun.com for $50,000 last month, there is a ray of hope in crossing the 400K mark of sales by the end of this year.
Thank you ) So if first half was $250, the second $350, then overall average would be $300 )
4000x300$=$1.2MM of Capital Employed.
The IRR will vary from year to year, especially with growing portfolio and irregularity of sales. Regardless, the range will be at this scale and type of investment in 25%-50%.
Now, hand reg or closeout type, or the ones listed at brandable marketplaces might represent different economics than the above.
@AbdulBasit.com - thanks for sharing your experience with Afternic. Pleased to hear about your $50K sales.
I hope you dont mind me asking some personal questions
As you may agree, it is natural for us to overspend when money flows in our hands
a) How do you maintain discipline on buying domains? (as to not overbid or been driven by impulsive purchases)
b) Do you have any specific rule on per domain's budget?
I miss the last part you mentioned in which I believe you're heavily involved especially in closeouts which is why my average cost is on higher side.
Thanks for sharing the calculation
a) I believe this comes with the passage of time and I admit of overpaying but for very few domains to date. Mainly because I didn't had good cash flow as well as I'm very selective in buying domains right from the start. So this all gives me an edge for not overpaying.
b) Nothing specific as it all depends on the availability of $$$ and the type of domain. Few years ago, I was buying plenty of 4 figure domains due to which sometimes I got stuck with the domain buying flow. Lost some good deals during this period so hard lessons learned. These days I'm usually buying 3 and 4 figures of domains on regular basis.
Congratulations @AbdulBasit.com bro very impressive sales.
Congrats on the good $50k sale last month.
Thanks for Sharing the Domain sales with us.
Wishing you even better July Domain sales than June.
All the best!
Thank you so much my friend
Congrats @AbdulBasit.com , love reading your monthly progress reports. But I have a question for you (or maybe @Paul Nicks )...is there any way to see where your names sold? Like did they sell from someone browsing Afternic or were they sold in the registration path at a Partner registrar
You may check your sold domains here - https://www.afternic.com/sold_domains
How will I know if my domain name on afternic is been search or view online.....
Because I can't see it on afternic dashboard.
I don't think there is any way to know if your domain is searched or viewed online at Afternic.
Thanks for the response....
All is for someone to just receive email that your domain with them has been sold????
Yes. And also if there is any serious/solid offer close to your BIN. May be you're willing to come down a little and accept it.
@AbdulBasit.com congratulations on these extraordinary awesome sales, and many thanks for sharing with us your experiment results.
Where can I find the Afternic report for numbet of inquiries? I looked everywhere in my Afternic account I cant find it.
Do you enable both Afternic fast transfer and Sedo MLS on your domains?
Do you think Sedo MLS is useful?
I am asking because I feel that Sedo is dead these days.
Separate names with a comma.
