I was reading about how to make money with affiliate marketing. One suggestion was to buy a cheap .info domain and then forward the domain name to the offer. It said that you often dont need to have a landing page as many offers have one by default.

I dont understand this...how can you forward a domain name when you dont know the servers to set it to or what does this mean?

Thanks so much.

There many different ways to do this. One is a Meta Redirection like this

Code:
<META http-equiv="refresh" content="0; URL=http://www.ASpamSite.com/">

Place this in the header of a blank html file.

You can also use
PHP redirect
CGI redirect
Javascript redirect

and if you have dns access to your domain name, you can do a cname redirection. This is the one to use if you don't have any web hosting.

So domain name registers allow you to forward like godaddy.com. This is just a simplified way of the above cname redirection

Is redirecting good in affiliate marketing?

I saw a post in my most hated forum that someone is making money through redirection.. The trick is to send visitors to a certain page then that page redirects the visitors to a sign-up page of a CPA-advertised programs...

Is this good?

Can't do it if you're using Adwords to drive traffic. Also, check that the merchant allows it.

It can be good if done right, I have never been able to get the hang of it

You can use Adwords for traffic as long as the affiliate program allows it.
