Do you guys think there is any value in Afghan domains?

The country is rebuilding after the war, and like any country recovering from such a dark era, there are a lot of new investments in Afghanistan and a lot of companies (re-)opening a branch in the country. Internet access for private individuals is still in its first stages as not many Afghans have personal internet access yet, however no doubt this number will also increase.

So do you think this is a good moment to buy and resell Afghan domains?

In one word, no. I don't think it's worthwhile.

I dont think there would be much value in Afghan domains either.

My biggest concern would be the political stability.

Apart from that and the relatively high registration fee (at least for a second level domain) I think its a good extension and could have some potential.

The thing is, Afghanistan we rebuild its economy now that the war is fading away slowly. More and more companies will open branches again in Kabul, more and more Afghans will get an internet connection the next couple of months and years. So I am quite sure internet in Afghanistan is a developping thing and worth investing in, I think they should lower registration fees though to attract people that want to invest in IT in Afghanistan.

i don't think so because every new day we hear a new threatening news from Afghanistan, i don't think so peace is as easy as like in books etc. so no chance for .af
