Hi All,

I am planning to start an online deal site. This site will contain deals on all sorts of products from online vendors like Amazon, buy.com, newegg, etc etc.... I have finalized few domain names. Please provide your input so that I can finalize a name.

Here are my names:

www.Dealiria.com
www.DrScrooge.com
www.SnoopNut.com
www.Blisterz.com

Thanks,

PS:
Also if you have some good domain names in mind, please let me know.

Ah, from the thread in the domain name discussion forum.

My opinion is that undeveloped, these domains don't have much value. The domain industry - for a large part - is focussed on keywords, phrases, and abbreviations.

Based on that, I have to say reg fee.

When developed, an appraisal would be based on the performance of your website, both traffic and sales metrics.

However, there might always be someone with the intention of branding such names in ways unexpected. But this isn't something you should count on when purchasing a domain for reselling purposes.

According to you Blisterz is good out of the 4. But is it a good brand name for a deal site? Should I put more thought in coming up with a better name?

Thanks

Edited: was a stupid question. I didn't notice the info in the starting thread. I simply picked the out what I was convinced was the best domain.

For an online deal site I would most definitely reg a different name.

I use several names for Amazon redirection, and they are also generating sales.

If you want a more general site to display all sorts of deals, I would register a generic name with keywords relating to deals.

But first, do some keyword research and pick something that has search volume and low supply density.

If you want a semi-generic name (all generics are taken), I would go for:

BestBuyNut.com (if you want nut in the name that is) - Available
BestBuyStuff.com (funny) - Available

I don't say that you should register these, but you get the idea.

Also, when you start creating content, create harmony between the content and domain name for optimal SEO. So if you go for a 'best buy' name, make it stick out in your content and product reviews.

No problem.

If you are confident on taking on a huge saturated market go for a domain containing one of the following keywords or phrases:

'sale' or 'on sale' or 'best buy'

If you want a more targeted niche for specific products, do a lot of research on keywords and audience.
