domain Advice on unique domain name Santa.net

I have owned Santa.net since 1996. For some dumb reason, I have always believed that it is the very best "Santa" domain that could possibly exist ...Better than Santa.com, because, in the case of Christmas, ".com" = "commercial" and "commercial" has many negative connotations.

I have failed so far to come up with a fantastic idea for developing it out. I am considering selling it. Please provide some advice

I'd say it's worth four figures to an investor and $30-60k to an end user.

It can make a lot of money if developed into a Christmas gift shop or something.

IMO in order to get the maximum value for this domain, it would be best to develop it to a website. Something like a gift site that targets Christmas as well as the other gift giving occasions. Make it a festive looking site and change it up a bit as needed.

The problem with selling it as just a domain is that after Christmas is done and past, many people are not thinking about Christmas really so it's value will be on a decline for the next several months.

Get a site developed and running then maybe seek to cash out in say 9-10 months. That way you will be ready for the next Christmas shopping season.

It is good... probably worth high 4 figures to a reseller. If you want a quick sale, you could try a Flippa auction - have it properly organised, and try to attract some end-users with outbound emails. Otherwise, just put it for sale with a "make offer" on GoDaddy, Sedo, Flippa etc, and wait for a nice offer.

It is worth somewhere between $800 and $2500 but you could get more, if some guy really wanted it bad.
