Hi All,

Recently opened a new sedo account with a new email. In the payment section of account settings system ain't allowing me to add my PayPal account as its already associated with my old sedo account.

PayPal generally advises customers to have a single account for personal/freelancer category though I can open a new A/C with different bank credentials but might come under scrutiny which may limit my old account also if found unsatisfactory response...does anyone have 2 PayPal account here?

Pls advise.

Thanks
MaX

I have a business account and a personal account. Had both for years. I also have paypal prepaid credit cards attached to each. Right now I also have a business loan from them on the biz account and a personal loan on the other. I move money back and forth almost daily.

Never had an issue.
I want to open another personal account with PayPal not business account.

Can 2nd personal account limit my existing account?

I'm surprised at that, Sedo have always been pretty fast at removing my expired domains. I get their emails on a fairly regular basis to say they have deleted domains during their own clean-up , even so far as them removing domains NOT expired. (admittedly late renewals) Have you revisited your existing Sedo account to see how many are still showing
I do get their clean up mails but still lots of expired names in my old account.

If you end up with the same (unexpired) names in both Sedos that could cause an issue too.

Well pointed-out, guess the OP missed that obvious Red-flag, that Sedo wont miss, either way there's work to be done. Might just as well bite-the-bullet and get the clean-up done.

Just the cynic in me, but, you sure you haven't blotted your copy-book with Sedo, frozen-out?? I'm sure that thought has crossed other minds - just asking

to me, having two accounts at sedo,... is like having two accounts here at namepros

and that is against forum rules, and it should be against Sedos' as well.

I suggest you take the time to clean up your current one.

if others had multiple accounts there, that would open door to all types of scandalous :poop:

imo...
Though I am honest to my reasons for opening a new sedo account but what you mentioned that's a great point. 👍

I have 5 accounts at NetSol. :sneaky:

I'm a bad boy.

netsol doesn't have auctions, like at sedo, where multiple accounts could hide shill bidding.

imo...

I don't use them for auctions. I have mutiple accounts just about everywhere. Sometimes a great deal comes in for ONE PER ACCOUNT and, well..... :sneaky::cautious:

Old account is full of expired names hard for me to clean up one by one, so want to have fresh start with a new account. 😇

BS. You can bulk delete 200 at a time

My PP biz account is 19 years old. My PP pers account is 7 years old. Stop scaring people.

Not trying to scare anyone.

Just telling my experience.

I am glad you have not had any problems, but others have.

In fact PP settled a huge lawsuit a while back because of this.

So it would take five minutes. More likely another reason.
Math doesn't add up! 😁

200 names per minute would take 12.5 minutes to be exact if I do bulk delete without even looking at names.
There are certainly few names I am keeping.

Too much of CSI! 😜

I have about 20 Paypal accounts, a half of them for my own data. No problemo,

Well a half of them are the latest creations, for taming Netsol. Will hardly be using them otherwise.

Lawsuit has nothing to do with what you’re referring to. All US credit card processors must identify you fully including with social security number eventually. Identifying yourself to PayPal is not a “problem” it’s part of money laundering and tax reporting laws and requirements.

If you think that’s a problem then don’t accept credit card payments.

No, my friend, you are wrong.

Just Goo/gle Pay/pal lawsuit and you will see it is about them holding peoples' money

and suspending and freezing accounts.

You will also see countless horror stories about people who lost their homes,

were evicted, and basically had their lives ruined because PP suspended, froze or

closed their accounts - for no good reason - and kept their money - the money they needed to live!!

Do some research before you make a comment.

Just because you and others here have not had a problem does not mean it

does not exist!

If you think that’s a problem then don’t accept credit card payments.

This has nothing to do with credit card processing.

sedo charges for appraisals now, don't they ?

used to be free, right ?

I asked them to broker a name - they just closed the ticket, no further response.....

I know they do a lot of deals, just do not seem to want to work for me.....

Having your money held because you refuse to identify yourself to a credit card processor

You have it backwards.

My account was not frozen because I refused to give IDs.

They already had the important docs.

I refused to give additional documentation after my account was frozen!!

The amount of additional documentation they wanted, just to unfreeze my account

was unreasonable, unnecessary and unwarranted!!

I am aware that cc processors require personal info and I have given it and

have no problem giving it.

My issue was that my account was frozen without prior warning and for no good reason.

This is all I have to say on this.

I am out.

Although Sedo currently is fast at removing expired names, I have found some very old names still listed from that I failed to remove. It is also does not remove name sold (not dropped) if you fail to remove them. We all need to develop processes to help us remove these from marketplaces like Sedo, Afternic, etc.
Select every name you no longer want to be in your Sedo account and click on "Delete". Sedo will remove them in your account completely within days

2500/200 = 12.5 deletes. That isn't a big task.
If I delete all my listings...there are few active domains.

I closed my new account with Sedo. Thanks all for your advices and suggestions. 👍

I wasn't suggesting you delete all your domains. Just the expired ones. So I was probably quoting the maximum number of deletes :) But that doesn't including sorting out which domains are expired and should be deleted. which would add some time. But it's not an awesome or daunting task. Especially since you only have a few active domains. It should be a lesson to you not to leave the maintenance unattended for such a long time :) I'm happy you have found a solution. Cheers!.

Me? I deleted all my domains thinking "no problem to upload a new list". Until Sedo wanted me again to forward every domain to them. Which I declined :(

That Goes without saying.

My discussion that, While SEDO has been removing expired names lately, there are still expired names from before they started that check and balance. Those names remain in accounts and we need to go back to delete them, because SEDO's new program has not done that.
