If Ebay want to make decisions about banning things they are entirely within their rights to do so. We are entirely within our rights not to use Ebay. Most people ARE into porn. If you're not into porn you're either part of an Amish community in Pennsylvania with no internet or live in a Sicilian nunnery on a secluded Mediterranean island. I'm not saying everyone's a porn addict but most adults of the internet era have watched porn.

Though I roughly agree with the statement that they can "do whatever they want they're a private company", it has become a stick to beat people with then they are disappointed. Mainly because it's not a good reason and generally it's backed by ideology more than sense.

They should just have an adult section on eBay, instead of outright ban. The adult industry isn't disappearing anytime soon (polite word for saying "porn")

Actually there is/was an Adult product section on eBay. You couldn't list good til cancelled but you could do auctions and buy it now listings. I was selling in the adult section back in 2000 and had sold a few things in there on and off over the years. Including a couple of adult themed domain names that I felt would sell better in the adult section than in the vanilla domain name area.

It wasn't easy to find the adult's section though. It was hard to find the section too.

To get there you had to go to categories then all categories. Then "Everything Else" and then the adult section became a visible category. Looking now, I see there's a domain name section in that category.

There's like 9 adult domains listed and a 10th listing for...

That's crazy... I remember 20 years ago people were trying to sell kidneys and getting listings removed. People made joke offers like this and those usually got yanked too.

Edit: They are also getting rid of their entire Adult section according to that post. So it's not just domain names but movies, games, art, etc.
