Later this year the Adobe Media Player will hit the market with some interesting features... like DRM (one of the reasons Flash is currently the #1 online video platform is the Absence of DRM, IMO). Commercials can be inserted into downloaded content. The player is not branded (no Adobe logo) and whatever is playing can skin the player (cool).
Seems to me... this will extend .TV content/websites, offline, and provide some additional branding and revenue streams both in terms of ads and pay content.
