This is a small sample size of reported .AI sales for the month, but with a whopping avg sale price of 12,435 USD
I believe the highest "reported" .AI sale is "YOU.AI" at 700 K USD.
Will we see a 7 figure "reported" .AI sale in 2025?
I'd say yes, if Ace.Ai fetched over 200 K and Provide.ai bagged 49 K USD plus on Afternic on Friday.
As VC funding for AI startups continues to pour in and companies rebrand to AI-centric companies for marketing and funding, I see single word .AI names taken in over 200 extensions gaining higher valuations. (Alas, I owned over 150 .AI single word domains in 2016, and over 100 were sold between 2016-2024 from low 4 and 5 figures, and one for low 6 figures in 2023)
Please note I've never reported a single sale as I see no benefit. And I'm not a broker and I have no desire to drum up demand for any extension. My portfolio is mostly .com. I've had to sign NDAs with some transactions, but usually not.
I'm still hoping we will see a big wave of Ai___.com or ____ai.com sales, as I have many, but it seems the single word .AI is the rising star in the Domain Constellation. At least, for now.
