ABSENTEE auctioneer or SEller?

as a matter of Interest to all NP members
i would like to know what sort of action(s)
should be taken after the completion of
an Auction(past dateline) or sales.
BUT the owner or seller is no where in
sight?
should one just Pm/email, and wait.....or

1. report to the NP sheriff
2. post a negative(-) trade
3. wait and bite "fingernails.

Give it 2 or 3 days then report it to the admins and they will take appropriate actions. I hate that myself. I have bid on some auctions just to find the seller never to answer back.

Please ... proactively ... contact any one of us here at Staff™.
I have successfully resolved (fortunately, very few) issues in the past, have seen a few instances where a "negative" Trader *rating* has been left, and on occassion even where the Buyer was unable to get online (internet service, vacation, offline life, what have you) ... later to be resolved on its own.
After both PM'ing AND E-mail'ing the party, allowing for reasonable 48 - 72 hours, please open a "Private to Staff" thread on ANY instance ... we take this extremely seriously here at Namepros, as you would imagine.

PS. I have had ONE (1) unfortunate instance only here on the site, and it was for NP$'s (Buyer was to purchase a domain for small NP$'s/Auction). After 4-5 days with no response, I left him/her "negative" Trading status clearly explaining why and with a link to the thread. I *hated* doing it, but it was the responsible thing to do, IMHO.

PS. Hippo, do you have a specific transaction that you'd like me to look in to ... that I am unaware of in the threads? You can either open up a Staff post as noted above, or PM me directly.
