A simple TM question I have. pardon my ignorance

If let's say a paints company own a TM for word "XXXX", do they legally get a right to own any TLD for their name (XXXX.com, XXXX.net, XXXX.tv etc )
Or is it just with .com?

Another Q.
If i own XXXX.com and offer online dating service on that domain name, is that legal? no TM issues with that paint company?

Yes and No...it can go either way and there has been cases that argue both sides. It is NOT automatic that anyone with the .com gets the other TLD's.
