A short newbie question

How bad would a .net extension hurt a money-related forum domain. An example would be like stockforum.net. Is it worth it? Thank you

Well the theory is .net is worth less than .com. In most cases, yes especially for a corperation. Hosting a forum though I would think it to be fine to use .net, the true way the internet is designed anyway.. you are not a corperation or company, so use .net. Works out great IMO.

It's ok to use .net but you really need to promote/market it well because people will tend to accidently type-in stockforum.com instead of stockforum.net. Good luck!
