All right, to be brief:
I had YERX.com on a SEDO auction, starting at $60. By auction's end, it finished with $80. Now, I'm looking through the auctions and stumbled across VORY.com, which started at $70. With my auction, I gave no real rationality as to why my domain was worth bidding on; I only gave a few examples of recent sales. The auction for VORY.com does the same while adding that it's a typo of very (it's NOT a typo of very, as the E and O are on opposite ends of the keyboard) and that it's a consanant/vowel/consanant/vowel .com & that no CVCV are left in the wild. VORY.com has 2+ hours to go and is settled down in a nice $1,500 spot.
I'm not asking if YERX.com is better/worse than VORY.com. I'm asking: Does it really matter what combination of V and C a domain has? This CVCV (and Y can be considered a vowel, remember) is doing so great but my CVCC (or VVCC if you want to look at it that way) did so poorly. Any thoughts on this? Are CVCV the only real valuable non-dictionary-word LLLL?
(Note: The buyer backed out and I retain YERX.com. Pretty good. I didn't want to sell this for a paltry $80 anyway.)
